Transfer students are a vital part of Appalachian State University's student body, representing 39% of the incoming class. Scholarship opportunities are set aside exclusively for incoming transfer students who have shown previous academic success and involvement prior to their enrollment. We encourage students from all institution types to apply for the available scholarships soon after completing the admissions application process. Transfer students are permitted to apply for scholarships before an admittance decision has been made, but scholarships will only be awarded to those students who have been accepted for the fall semester. For a comprehensive list of scholarships, please review Additional Scholarships.
