Appalachian is committed to making higher education affordable for every North Carolina student. The Appalachian Commitment to a College Education for Student Success (ACCESS) Scholarship Program ensures 50 students from low-income families in North Carolina can attend Appalachian debt-free.
Full institutional costs are covered for up to 8 semesters, including tuition and fees, room and board and book rental.
Also, students selected for the ACCESS program learn from specialized courses focused on college transition and financial planning; receive personalized academic advising and mentorship; and benefit from being immersed in a community of scholars and peers.
