
Murray Family ACCESS Scholarship Program
Appalachian is committed to making higher education affordable for every North Carolina student. The Murray Family Appalachian Commitment to a College Education for Student Success (ACCESS) Scholarship Program ensures 50 students from low-income families in North Carolina can attend Appalachian debt-free.
Full institutional costs are covered for up to 8 semesters, including tuition and fees, room and board and book rental.
Also, students selected for the Murray Family ACCESS Scholarship Program learn from specialized courses focused on college transition and financial planning; receive personalized academic advising and mentorship; and benefit from being immersed in a community of scholars and peers.

To be considered for the Murray Family ACCESS Scholarship Program:
- November 1, Submit the application for admission
- November 15, Submit all application materials
- December 1, Complete FAFSA for priority consideration
