Impact Scholars Program scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated leadership potential, academic excellence, and a willingness to create positive change.
The Impact Scholars program is designed to recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence. The program not only recognizes merit in scholarship but provides students with an opportunity to promote and embrace belonging on and off campus. This program brings people together from different cultures and backgrounds to work on building unity.
The scholarship is awarded to 10 students each year and includes in-state tuition and fees, leadership development workshops, mentorship opportunities, service-learning and international experiences. In-state tuition and fees covered for up to 8 semesters.
Deadlines
November 15 - Apply by Nov. 15 and submit all supplemental materials by Nov. 30 to guarantee consideration for most university scholarships.

Jocelyne Lemus
Asheboro, NC
A first-generation college student, Lemus said her scholarship has given her what seemed, at first, an impossible opportunity — the ability to pursue her dreams of higher education at App Sate.
An aspiring psychiatrist, Lemus is majoring in psychology with a concentration in health studies and aims to perform research in the mental health field.
At Asheboro High School, she served as senior class president on the Student Council and as an ambassador for Health Science Academy. She was also a varsity cheerleader.
